Precious Metal Assay Lab

Lab Includes:

electronic analytic scale
This high quality precision scale is used to
weigh the metal samples to be assayed.

TECHNICAL DATA
AG285

  • weight rang from 0 to 14 gr 5 decimal places
  • weight range from 0 to 205 gr 4 decimal places
  • scale pan diam. 80 mm
  • dimensions 205x410x290 mm

anti-vibrating table
This wooden table is covered with “Formica”
and has a marble anti-vibrating surface.
Dimensions: 890x710x800 mm

bench drill type
The bench drill is used to draw out samples of precious metals to be
assayed. It is a high precision bench drill mounted on oversized ball
bearings. The pulley bush and the drill chuck spindle are made out of
rectified iron. These characteristics ensure a long life.

TECHNICAL DATA
TRB/A

  • max. drill capacity 10 mm
  • speeds n°4
  • spindle run 80 mm
  • column diameter 75 mm
  • distance from column to spindle centre 160 mm
  • max. distance from spindle to table surface 300 mm
  • spindle 450/1’
  • motor threephase 0.6 Hp
  • weight 650x700x2165

cupellation furnace
The cupellation furnace removes all non-precious metals from samples
of precious alloy to be assayed. The silicon carbide resistances give out
a maximum power of 2 kW on each of the 3 resistance groups. The
power on each phase is electronically controlled which avoids manual
regulation and increases the life of the resistances.

TECHNICAL DATA

  • power supply threephase threephase
  • power 8.5 kW 5 kW
  • max. working temperature 1350°C 1100°C
  • max. temperature at rest 500°C
  • int. dimensions silicon carbide muffle 155x205x80 155x205x80
  • number of cupels contained n.12 Ø 25 mm n.12 Ø 25 mm
  • overall dimensions (mm) 830x950x1850 830x950x1850
  • weight 450 Kg 450 Kg
melting furnace for ashes assay
The furnace is used to melt precious ash samples in order to obtain a
button containing the precious metals. The silicon carbide resistances
give out a maximum power of 2 kW on each of the 3 resistance groups.
The power on each phase is electronically controlled which avoids manual
regulation and increases the life of the resistances. The furnace can
contain six ceramic 75x125 mm crucibles.

TECHNICAL DATA
FFC/A

  • power supply threephase
  • power 8,3 Kw
  • max. working temperature 1350°C
  • max. temperature at rest 500°C
  • overall dimensions (mm) 1600x700x900
  • weight 400 Kg
machine for crushing, rolling and annealing cupel balls
Used for crushing, rolling and annealing those cupel balls needed for
the assay process. This machine has three important characteristics:
hardened steel anvil for crushing cupel balls, motorized rolling mill with
electrical pedal control fitted with cylinders 44x80 mm, small electric
furnace with an incandescant sheet (with water cooled contacts).

TECHNICAL DATA
MSLR/B

  • power supply threephase
  • power 1,5 Kw
  • water consumption 1-2 lt/1’
  • overall dimensions (mm) 750x450x1300
  • weight 120 Kg
