The tower is used to neutralise the acid fumes
coming from the separation hood and the lead
fumes from the cupellation furnace. It is built
out of polypropylene. A sprayer and raschig
rings are inside the tower. The neutralising solution
tank as well as the antiacid pump are
placed beneath the tower.
