5384 Antique Set of (70) Holtzapffel Wood Turning Chisels




These beautiful chisels have rosewood handles. They are housed in a 28" x 32" mahogany cabinet. The chisels are clean and in exceptional condition. Circa: Early 1800's

The handles are made from Rosewood. They are of extraorinary workmanship, most are embossed "Holtzapffel" and 9" overall length. Various types of chisels are contained in the set.

The 3 segment cabinet is in nice overall condition, opens and closes well and has dovetail joints.The middle section of the cabinet has 3 rows of chisels, the right hand section has 3 rows of chisels and the left hand section has 2 rows of chisels. Chisel desription:

  • (5) 5/16" hole x 3/16" Deep (for gouging purposes)
  • Majority are marked "Holtzapffel"
  • (4) are marked "H & D"
    • (1) is marked "Fenn"
  • (8) are unmarked (Appear to be Holtzapffel)
